Welcome to the Alabama Association of Public Personnel Administrators, Alabama Chapter IPMA-HR.

It is indeed a privilege to serve as President of the Alabama Association of Public Personnel Administrators (AAPPA).

Through the support and sponsorship of the Center for Governmental Services of Auburn University in concert with the ACCA (Association of County Commissions of Alabama) and the Alabama League of Municipalities, the major focus continues to be on personnel issues pertinent to public employment. The program is primarily designed to increase knowledge, develop skills, develop and maintain a high level of integrity regarding standards, and increase professionalism within public personnel administration.

I look forward to a challenging year ahead, as we:

• Search for ways to improve the educational program.

• Increase recruitment efforts for new members.

• Encourage individuals to contribute and to become involved.

• Explore ways to make our organization the very best that it can be!
